Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions.

Q: What is included with rental?

A: Rental price includes one mix, mixing bucket w/spoon, 50 cups/ 50 fat drink straws, and margarita salt with lime mix order. Also included is a 2×3 ft table, grass skirt, 25ft 12 gauge heavy duty extension cord.

Q: How do I purchase additional mixes if I run out during my party?

A: Please order enough mix so you do not run out. Remember you only pay for what you use.

Q: Can I use my own margarita mix?

A: No, our mix is made exclusively for Frozen Drink Machines. Other mixes may cause damage to the machine.

Q: What size cups do you supply?

A: We supply 50 eight oz. cups per machine rented. Large cups lead to waste as guests let the drink melt then throw away and get another. Also, large cups can cause machines not to keep up with the demand of the party if you have many guests.

Q: Can the margarita machine operate outside?

A: Every machine on my rental fleet can run outside even in the summer, but there is NO GUARANTEE. I can only guarantee you a fully functioning machine but I can’t guarantee that your outdoor outlet will be able to supply the machine with enough voltage. I’ll supply you with a 25ft heavy duty extension cord that can be run indoors through a window, should you have problems with your outdoor outlet.

Q: What type of electrical connection do I need?

A: The machine requires a minimum 15 amp dedicated circuit. A 20 amp dedicated circuit is preferred. The machine should be placed near an electrical outlet (No further than 25 feet from outlet). Customers should not use their own extension cords because they can cause damage to the machines & your outlet. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary then you may only use the heavy duty 12 gauge extension cord that I supply.

Q: Do you allow customer pick-ups?

A: No. Each Basic machine weighs in excess of 175 lbs. To ensure your safety and safe delivery, each machine will be hand delivered by one of our drivers.

Q: How far in advance of my event should I rent a machine?

A: We suggest that you secure your reservation 2 to 3 weeks in advance of your party, although you are welcome to call us with last-minute requests and we will do our best to accommodate if we have availability. We suggest one month in advance during holidays and graduation season.

Q: When do you deliver the margarita machine?

A: Normally, we will deliver at least 1 – 4 hours prior to event start time. On rare occasions we may have to deliver up to two days early, with your approval. When you receive a confirmation email it will state that I will contact you 5 days before your event date to discuss a convenient delivery window for all parties involved.

Q: What if I’m unable to be home during your pickup window?

A: The machine must be accessible when I’m ready to pick up at the scheduled arranged time or there is a minimum $50.00 return trip charge.

Q: What else do I need to know?

A: We do not go up or down stairs and the delivery site must be reasonably accessible.

Q: How much are additional Mixes?

A: One free mix is included with each machine. $25 for each additional mix.

Q: How easy is it to operate the machine?

A: The machines are very easy to operate. You will be given a tutorial on using the machine when it is delivered. We will also walk you through making the first batch of mix to make sure you get the hang of it. We will leave you with our cell phone number where you can always contact us with questions during your party.

Q: What do I need when you deliver the machine?

A: When we deliver your machine, we will need to speak with someone who will be responsible for the operation of the machine and we need the required liquor for the first mix. We will also need to have about 3 gallons of water (tap water is fine) available to us for each batch of drinks. We will make your first batch of mix, (based on your party start time) and make sure the machine is set up and operating properly and we will give you
the operation instructions.

Q: What else do I need to know?

A: We do not go up or down stairs and the delivery site must be reasonably accessible.

Helpful Hints

If you have not rented a machine before, you may be surprised to learn that 50-70% of your guests will choose the frozen drinks over beer and wine. This means you can probably get by with providing less beer and wine.

We DO Not Deliver If Stairs Are Involved

Keep margarita machine protected in shaded area if using outdoors. Ideally, a heavy-duty tent cover to guard against direct sun, high winds and rain.

Use a dedicated 120V, 15-20 amps circuit for each machine. If you don’t know what that means, call us!

Our own heavy-duty extension cord (12 gauge) will be provided with each rental. Please do not use any other cords. Extension cords provided are typically 25 ft and should not exceed 50 feet in total length.

It is highly recommended that the machine is positioned on a hard, level and stable surface. This will help prevent the machine from tipping over which could cause damage to the machine or physical injury. Unauthorized transportation of machine(s) will result in a $500 fine. Also, do not attempt to relocate, lift or otherwise move machines. This will prevent injury and damage to the machine.

SUGGESTIONS FOR CUSTOMER:

For each machine ordered, selecting one flavor is normal, however you may select more than one flavor and add to the machine one at a time resulting in a blending of flavors.
